YOUR FIRST VISIT
Brief Paperwork
Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition. Download New Patient Forms.
Consultation
Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options.
History And Examination
In order to determine what your actual problem is, the doctor will ask you various questions related to your condition. Next, a number of specialized tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.
Same Day Treatment
Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, patients will generally be provided with their first treatment during this same visit. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies.
Home Instructions
Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.
Schedule Your Next Appointment
You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time.
YOUR CHILDS FIRST VISIT
YOUR CHILDS FIRST VISIT
Brief Paperwork
Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. The paperwork provides us with general information about your child and the reason for the visit.. Download New Patient Forms.
History
A thorough history of your child will be done including pregnancy and birth history of the child as well as any issues going on with them currently.
Examination
Examination includes a lot of observation of the child, the way they are laying moving and interacting. Gentle movement or stretching of arms and legs will be done as well as a few reflexes checked. An evaluation of their mouth may be preformed to check their jaw and the way they are sucking. Light palpation of the child’s spine will also be preformed.
Adjustment
A very gentle and specific adjustment will be given. No more pressure will be used than to test the ripeness of a tomato. We can also use instrument assisted adjusting techniques that allows us to deliver the adjustment directly into the joint without having to twist, torque or “pop” your child’s spine. This is a great option for mobile children. Most kids find the adjustments to be comfortable.
Home Instructions
Prior to leaving, parents will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home for your child. This may include avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches and diet modifications.
Schedule Your Next Appointment
You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings and continuance of care.
