Infant Craniosacral Therapy For Tongue Tie
What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on therapy that focuses on releasing tension within the craniosacral system. This system includes the cerebrospinal fluid, brain, spinal cord, and surrounding connective tissues. By applying light pressure to areas like the skull, neck, and sacrum, CST helps relieve tightness and improve fluid movement throughout your baby’s body.
How Craniosacral Therapy Can Help With a Tongue Tie
A tongue tie can cause tension throughout the body, from the tongue to the neck and even the spine. Craniosacral Therapy addresses these deeper tensions, helping to:
- Improve tongue mobility for better latching and breastfeeding
- Alleviate tightness in the neck, shoulders, and spine
- Promote better sleep and reduced fussiness
- Enhance the flow of cerebrospinal fluid to support the nervous system
- Relieve midline tension that may affect milestones like crawling and sitting
